Installed a 12v electric actuator with lever for the handbrake cables. Total pulling force on the cable about 2500Newton. Installed a 3-way switch with spring-back function and 2 LED lights that indicate when the handbrake is on or off.
Installed front and rear license plates and license plate lighting
Made a new belly plate, turned out really well.
Exterior mirrors in place.
I made a template for the small side windows for the front doors and had them made. Now they are also installed. I’m just missing the scraper strips for the larger door windows. I’ve been looking but haven’t managed to find and buy any new scraper strips yet.
Most recently I have been working on the hood.
Welded and repaired the hood in a couple of places.
Installed new hinges. Painted, insulated and installed sealing strips..
I also got inspiration from the Dodge A100 forum on Facebook where someone had made an overlay on the hood with a cup holder. I made the foundation and then I have to thank my father who helped me sew and cover it with leather. I was really happy with the end result.
Have replaced a couple of seals in the engine, gearbox and rear axle.
In the gearbox there was a new oil filter, oil pan gasket, some O-rings and a seal on the output shaft. The rear axle got new oil and seals for the oil plugs. The engine got some new seals around the oil filter.
Tested the engine for just over an hour today so both the engine and gearbox got warm and everything seems tight so far.
No update lately but have been working on Gear lever, throttle lever, kickdown lever for a few days now.
Rebuilt a handbrake cable that I use as a gas cable.
Mounted on ball joints on both sides and made a mount on both sides.
Bought a universal cable for the gear lever. Had to rebuild the mount under the dashboard as a new mount on the gearbox.
Have also made a new kickdown lever between the carburetor and the gearbox. Made a rough adjustment but will need to adjust it when I get out and test drive the car on the roads.
