I got the car together, the diff replaced and new drive joints on the cardan shaft. Nice meeting with about 60 cars on site.
They called it Poker Run, with 5 different destinations you get a card and at the finish you had to play with the cards you drew. No win this time.

Differentials
The car has had a strange noise from the rear axle and it didn’t get better after the last long trip. Got another differential with a better gear ratio so it will be replaced during the week.
Old diff, 41/14 gearing = 2.93:1
New diff, 47/17 gearing = 2.76:1
5.6% difference and makes about 200rpm at 100km/h

I found out about a YouTuber who filmed some cars at the car show, it was great that he liked my creation.

First car meet is done. It was a little longer trip, took about 1 1/2 hours to drive there. A little smaller car meet but with nice people and many nice cars. Got a lot of questions about my car so it was nice.
Now that I’ve started driving a bit, the wish list is starting to grow. Something needs to be done about the handling of this car. It was quite windy today and it wasn’t a pleasant drive.
We’ll see what I come up with next winter. Now it’s time to run and avoid upgrades.
Looking forward to summer
Finished and painted the grill. Went out for a ride today and gave my daughter a ride around town. She thought it was embarrassing that everyone was looking at us. But tried to say that it’s fun to get attention and have something that no one else has 🙂
